Welcome to the Local Roots Food Co-op Summer Season!

The Center for Rural Culture's is offering its Local Roots farm to family Food Co-op program designed to connect family owned and operated farms and businesses with customers in search of local food year round.

The program works on a weekly buying cycle with orders opening Friday evening and closing Monday evening. Pick up is always on Thursday afternoons at your preferred location, with two pick-up sites in Eastern Goochland and one in Ashland.

We are excited to announce the opening of our first Summer Season, which runs May 1 through October 31, 2010. Registration is now open to new members online and is $65 for the six month season. Center for Rural Culture members joining for the first time will receive a $10 credit on their first order upon verification of current membership status. The fee for renewing members is $35. The seasonal fees cover logistics, basic administration and marketing expenses as well as the maintenance of our website.

If you have not joined Local Roots yet, now is the time! Registration rates are being reduced, just in time for the peak summer harvest! Beginning July 15, registration for the Center for Rural Culture's Local Roots Food Co-op will be reduced from $65 to $35 for the remainder of the season.
